The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place, you can start automated cleaning with a single button press. You can select an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal, or opt for two thorough maps of your home to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve with the next models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think it's a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your entire house in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so that it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vac settings are as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping feature is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is the absence of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it before moving along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and washes and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something requires attention, for example, the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This is an excellent feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different best robot vacuum mop combo flooring materials or there's some items that need to be cleared out frequently, like toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. 3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you could need. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has faster battery charging and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and a voice assistant that works offline, allowing you to control it even when you're not home. It also comes with more mopping options and a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your house instead of just following a specific route.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it enhances suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing a thorough job. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that comes with a variety of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It is able to create detailed floor maps and identify different types of flooring. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice but they also place the L10s in the class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The control panel has a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This allows the robot to vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4% of debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
